Versatile hardneck garlic. Some French consider this to be the best tasting of all French garlic.
Can be planted autumn or early spring but dislikes wet conditions.
Large white softneck garlic that can produce huge bulbs.
Best Autumn planted, can be Spring planted although will produce smaller bulbs
One of the earliest maturing varieties.
Plant from September to December for best yield.
Grew well in my allotment, but on the heavy clay soil was slightly smaller than expected but then again so were most other crops
Fastest delivery I have ever had - less than 24 hours from ordering! - and the bulbs are enormous - thank you.
this is the first year I have grown garlic that looks like the garlic you can buy in France. Last years was small but stored well, this years is big and tastes great.
This variety performed well from an autumn planting despite the terrible winter, spring and early summer conditions of 2012/13 in Norfolk. It must be extremely hardy!
This garlic works well in the north of the UK. Easy to grow and store and with a bit of melted butter on bread - full of flavour. One of my favourates!
Have had bad results over the years growwing other garlics, tried solent wight last year - superb results, leicester.
After various garlic crop failures with some of the more fancy varieties we decided to have a go with the Solent Wight Garlic, although there were still some poor bulbs we had by far our best crop using this variety. We are in Nottinghamshire so they grow well in the midland climate.
